to deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;


A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.


And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.


And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?


For the lips of a strange woman drop as a honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:


Nevertheless what saith the Scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free woman.


Now Jephthah the Gil´e-adite was a mighty man of valor, and he was the son of a harlot: and Gil´e-ad begat Jephthah.


Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.


Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
