Is not God in the height of heaven? And behold the height of the stars, how high they are!


Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:


For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.


let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.


Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.


Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.


For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.


But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!


As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away; so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.


The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.


Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.


Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? Or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?


Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.


Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
