And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.


For I will take away the names of Ba´alim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.


Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.


and Nebo, and Ba´al–me´on, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.


Wherefore he called that place Beer–sheba; because there they sware both of them.


And Abraham reproved Abim´elech because of a well of water, which Abim´elech's servants had violently taken away.


And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.


And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.


Also he built towers in the desert, and digged many wells: for he had much cattle, both in the low country, and in the plains; husbandmen also, and vinedressers in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he loved husbandry.


And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.
