Also in Horeb ye provoked the Lord to wrath, so that the Lord was angry with you to have destroyed you.


For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.


let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.


What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?


Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.


And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice; why have ye done this?


Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.


Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.


now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.


Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.


Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the Lord: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.


Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomor´rah.


And now for a little space grace hath been showed from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.


Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.


And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.


Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.


Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
