And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.


And Moses said unto his father-in-law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God:


And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.


And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.


And the children of the Kenite, Moses' father-in-law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which lieth in the south of Arad; and they went and dwelt among the people.
