And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.


And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:


And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.


The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.


For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.


Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?

And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.


Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.


And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation.


And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel.


And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father; and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:


Their children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it.


He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
