praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.


So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.


And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.


And Anani´as hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.


And after this Joseph of Arimathe´a, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.


Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:


These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.


and could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.


The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?


And she said unto Eli´jah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?


Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.


not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labors; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
