Give us this day our daily bread.


For ye remember, brethren, our labor and travail: for laboring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.


And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: (for by their occupation they were tentmakers.)


and that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;


Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.


and labor, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:


Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.


And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedo´nia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.


Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.


She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.


Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.


Have we not power to eat and to drink?


in weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.


Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.
