The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.


They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.


And in process of time the daughter of Shu´ah Judah's wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adul´lamite.

And the king said to Ab´salom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.
