nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.


And when Silas and Timothy were come from Macedo´nia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.


For it hath pleased them of Macedo´nia and Achai´a to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.


I am glad of the coming of Steph´anas and Fortuna´tus and Acha´icus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
