Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jerobo´am and all Israel before Abi´jah and Judah.


But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.


I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:


Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.


And the Lord discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Beth–ho´ron, and smote them to Aze´kah, and unto Makke´dah.


See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.


The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.


and took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.


And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Se´ir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.


with twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen: and the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt; the Lubim, the Suk´ki-im, and the Ethiopians.


Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the Lord. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?


And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest unto Sodom, and Gomor´rah, and Admah, and Zebo´im, even unto Lasha.


And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.


And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.


And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men a hundred thousand.


And they offered unto the Lord the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
