Then king Rehobo´am sent Ado´ram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehobo´am made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.


And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the Lord, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megid´do, and Gezer.


and Ado´ram was over the tribute: and Jehosh´aphat the son of Ahi´lud was recorder:


and Azari´ah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:


And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.


but of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.


Then king Rehobo´am sent Hador´am that was over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king Rehobo´am made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
