And Zechari´ah the son of Meshelemi´ah was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.


And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.


To O´bed–e´dom southward; and to his sons the house of Asup´pim.


In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.


And Meshelemi´ah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.


And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the Lord, and the most holy things.


Then sent I for Eli-e´zer, for A´ri-el, for Shemai´ah, and for Elna´than, and for Jarib, and for Elna´than, and for Nathan, and for Zechari´ah, and for Meshul´lam, chief men; also for Joi´arib, and for Elna´than, men of understanding.
