Numbers 11:1 - King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

1 And the people were evil, as those complaining in the ears of Jehovah was hot, and the fire of Jehovah burned among them and devoured in the extreme edge of the camp.

And the people spoke against God, and against Moses, Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, and there is no water; and our soul hates this light bread.


And Elijah answered and said to them, If I am a man of God, fire will come down from the heavens and will consume you and your fifty. And fire from God came down from the heavens and consumed him and his fifty.


And fire came forth from Jehovah and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered the incense.


And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at The Graves of Lust you provoked Jehovah to anger.


And fire went out from before Jehovah and burned them up; and they died before Jehovah.


And Moses spoke to Aaron, Say to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, Come near before Jehovah; for He has heard your murmurings.


These are murmurers, complainers, walking according to their lusts, and their mouth speaks over swollen words, admiring faces for the sake of gain.


Neither murmur, as also some of them murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.


For Topheth is ordained from yesterday. Also, it is prepared for the king; He deepened; He widened its pyre; He makes great with fire and wood. The breath of Jehovah burns in it like a torrent of brimstone.


And a fire burned in their company; the flame burned up the wicked ones


So Jehovah heard and He passed over, and a fire was kindled against Jacob, and also anger went up against Israel,


While this one was still speaking, this other also came and said, The fire of God has fallen from the heavens and has burned up the sheep and the young men. And it has consumed them; and I, I alone have escaped to tell you.


And the mourning time passed by. And David sent and gathered her to his house; and she became to him for a wife, and bore a son to him. And the thing which David had done was evil in the eyes of Jehovah.


For a fire has been kindled in My anger, and it burns to the lowest Sheol, and consumes the earth and its produce; and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.


and in the morning you shall see the glory of Jehovah, in His hearing your murmurings against Jehovah. And we, what are we that you murmur against us?


The sinners of Zion are afraid; terror has seized profane ones; who of us shall abide with consuming fire? Who of us shall abide with burnings forever?


And they pulled up stakes from the mount of Jehovah three days’ journey. And the ark of the covenant of Jehovah pulled out before them, three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.


And what he did was evil in the eyes of Jehovah, and He also caused him to die.

The mountains quake from Him, and the hills melt; and the earth is lifted up from before Him, even the world and all who dwell in it.


What? Should mankind complain, living man, because of his sins?


how he met you on the way and attacked your back, all the feeble ones in the rear, when you were faint and weary; and he did not fear God.


And you shall say to the people, Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat flesh. For you have wept in the ears of Jehovah, saying, Who shall give us flesh, for we had good in Egypt? And Jehovah shall give flesh to you, and you shall eat.


And all the sons of Israel murmured against Moses, and against Aaron. And all the congregation said to them, Oh that we had died in the land of Egypt, or in this wilderness, oh that we had died!


for all the men who are seeing My glory, and My signs which I have done in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tried Me these ten times, and have not listened to My voice,


Until when shall I bear with this evil company who are murmuring against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel which they are murmuring against Me.


Say to them, As I live, a statement of Jehovah, as surely as you have spoken in My ears, so I will do to you.


Therefore, you and all your company that have gathered against Jehovah, What is Aaron that you murmur against him?


And it shall be that the man’s rod which I choose shall blossom. And I shall cause the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they are murmuring against you, to cease from Me.


The fire burned up their young men; and their virgins were not praised.


And the Light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it shall burn and devour his thorns and briers in one day.


Just as I was judging your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will be judging you, a statement of the Lord Jehovah.


A plague goes before Him, and lightning went forth at His feet.


And they said, Has Jehovah spoken only by Moses? Has He not also spoken by us? And Jehovah heard.
