13 And it happened, when Joshua was beside Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked. And, behold! A Man stood in front of him, and His drawn sword was in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, Are You for us, or for our adversaries?

And the ass saw the Angel of Jehovah standing in the road, and His sword was drawn in His hand. And the ass turned out of the road and went into a field. And Balaam struck the ass, to turn it back into the road.


And he lifted up his eyes and looked; and, behold, three men were standing by him. And he saw, and he ran to meet them from the entrance of the tent. And he bowed to the ground.


And Jehovah opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the Angel of Jehovah standing in the road with His sword drawn in His hand. And he bowed and fell on his face.

Then I lifted up my eyes and saw. And behold! A ram was standing before the canal, and to it were two horns. And the two horns were high, but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last.


And Manoah said to his wife, Dying we shall die, because we have seen God.


And Jehovah said to Joshua, See I have given Jericho and its king, mighty ones of strength, into your hand.


And he lifted up his eyes and saw the women and the children. And he said, Who are these with you? And he said, The children with whom God has favored your servant.


And Jacob lifted up his eyes and looked. And, behold, Esau was coming, and four hundred men with him. And he divided the children to Leah, and to Rachel, and to the two slave-girls.


And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, having been clothed to the feet, and having been girded with a golden girdle at the breasts.


And Jehovah appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre. And he was sitting at the door of the tent in the heat of the day.


And Jacob awakened from his sleep, and said, Surely Jehovah is in this place, and I did not know.


for at the time they came daily to David, to help him, until it was a great army, like an army of God.
