And Joshua was aged, going on in days. And Jehovah said to him, You have become aged, you are far along in days; yet very much land remains to be possessed.


And Jehovah gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood before them. Jehovah delivered all their enemies into their hand,


And Joshua took the whole of the land, according to all that Jehovah had spoken to Moses. And Joshua gave it for Israel according to their divisions, by their tribes. And the land had rest from war.


causing to cease wars to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts apart spears; He burns the chariots in the fire.


And now Jehovah your God has given rest to your brothers, as He spoke to them. And now you turn and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Jehovah has given to you beyond the Jordan.


And he said to them, I am a hundred and twenty years old today. I am not able any more to go out and to come in. And Jehovah has said to me, You shall not cross over this Jordan.


And Abraham expired and died in a good old age, aged and satisfied, and was gathered to his people.


As the cattle go down into the valley, so the Spirit of Jehovah caused him to rest; so You led Your people, to make a name of glory for Yourself.


And now, behold, the king is walking before you, but I am old and gray. And, behold, my sons, they are with you. And I have walked before your face from my youth until this day.


And King David was old, going into days. And they covered him with garments, for he had no heat.


For David said, Jehovah God of Israel has given rest to His people so that they may dwell in Jerusalem perpetually,


And the sons of Israel, according to their number, the heads of the fathers, and commanders of thousands and hundreds, and their scribes who served the king in every matter of the divisions which came in and went out month by month for all the months of the year, the one division had twenty-four thousand.


And Abijah lay with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And his son Asa reigned in his place. In his days the land was quiet ten years.


And he removed the high places and the images out of all the cities of Judah. And the kingdom was quiet before him.


And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was quiet, and his God gave him rest all around.
