Joshua 18:16 - King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

16 And the border went down to the end of the mountain that is before the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the Valley of the Giants northward, and went down the valley of Hinnom to the side of the Jebusite on the south, and went down to En-rogel.

And he defiled Topheth in the valley of the sons of Hinnom, so that no man could cause his son and his daughter to pass through the fire of Molech.


For Topheth is ordained from yesterday. Also, it is prepared for the king; He deepened; He widened its pyre; He makes great with fire and wood. The breath of Jehovah burns in it like a torrent of brimstone.


And they built the high places of Baal which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, and not did it come into My heart, that they should do this disgusting thing, to cause Judah to sin.


and shall say to them, So says Jehovah of Hosts, So I will break this people and this city, as one breaks the potter’s vessel that cannot be healed again. And they shall bury in Tophet, there being no place to bury.

And the sons of Benjamin did not dispossess the Jebusites living in Jerusalem. And the Jebusites live with the sons of Benjamin in Jerusalem until this day.


And the sons of Judah fought against Jerusalem, and captured it, and struck it with the mouth of the sword, and set the city on fire.


and Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi, which is Jerusalem, Gibeath, and Kirjathjearim; fourteen villages. This is the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, by their families.


As for the Jebusites, the ones living in Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not dispossess them. But the Jebusites dwell with the sons of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.


And the Philistines came and were spread out in the Valley of the Giants.
