And he said to him, Now go, see the welfare of your brothers, and the welfare of the flock, and bring word back to me. And he sent him out of the valley of Hebron. And he came to Shechem.


And his brothers went to feed the flock of their father in Shechem.


And Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her, and took her, and lay with her, and humbled her.


because the daughters of Manasseh had inherited an inheritance among his sons; and the land of Gilead belonged to the sons of Manasseh who remained.


The land of Tappuah belonged to Manasseh, but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the sons of Ephraim.


God has spoken in His holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.
