40 And Joshua struck all the land: the heights and the Negeb, and the Lowland, and the slopes, and all their kings; he did not leave a survivor, but he destroyed all that breathed, as Jehovah the God of Israel had commanded.

Only, Israel seized for themselves the livestock, and the plunder of the city, according to the Word of Jehovah which He commanded Joshua.


And you shall do to Ai and to its king as you have done to Jericho and its king. Only, its spoil and its cattle you shall take for yourselves. Set yourself an ambush for the city behind it.


And the city shall be devoted to Jehovah, it and all that are in it. Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.


And He shall give their kings into your hand; and you shall destroy their name from under the heavens. No man shall be able to stand before you until you have destroyed them.


And the cities for the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, by their families, were Jericho, Beth-hoglah, and the valley of Keziz,


in the mountains, and in the Lowlands, and in the Arabah, and in the slopes, and in the wilderness, and in the Negeb; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:


turn and pull up stakes and go into the hills of the Amorites, and to all its neighboring places in the Arabah, in the hills, and in the foothills, and in the Negeb, and in the shore of the sea, the land of the Canaanites and of Lebanon, to the great river, the Euphrates River.


Take heed to yourself, that you not cut a covenant with the people of the land to which you are going in, that it not be a snare in your midst.


And they captured it and its king, and all its places of defense And they struck them by the mouth of the sword, and destroyed every person in it; he did not leave a survivor. As he did to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to its king; even as he did to Libnah, and to its king.


And Joshua took all this land: the heights, and all the Negeb, and all the land of Goshen, and the Lowlands, and the Arabah and the mountains of Israel, and its lowlands,


And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them, You go up this way into the Negeb, and go up into the hills;


And we captured all his cities at that time, and completely destroyed every city, men and women and little ones. We did not leave a survivor.


And the sons went in and possessed the land, and You humbled those living in the land before them, the Canaanites. And You gave them into their hands, with their kings and the people of the land, to do with them as they desired.
