The LORD said to Moshe, *Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Yehoshua: that I will utterly blot out the memory of `Amalek from under the sky.*


The king commanded this to be done. A decree was given out in Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.


After these things King Achashverosh promoted Haman the son of Hammedata the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes who were with him.


They struck the remnant of the `Amaleki who escaped, and have lived there to this day.


David struck them from the twilight even to the evening of the next day: and there not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men, who rode on camels and fled.

Timna was concubine to Elifaz, Esav's son; and she bore to Elifaz `Amalek. These are the sons of `Adah, Esav's wife.


Water shall flow from his buckets. His seed shall be in many waters. His king shall be higher than Agag. His kingdom shall be exalted.


Out of Ya`akov shall one have dominion, and shall destroy the remnant from the city.


But ships [shall come] from the coast of Kittim. They shall afflict Ashur, and shall afflict `Ever. He also shall come to destruction.


Thus says the LORD of Armies, I have marked that which `Amalek did to Yisra'el, how he set himself against him in the way, when he came up out of Egypt.
