Balak took Bil`am to the top of Pe`or, that looks down on the desert.


Moshe went up from the plains of Mo'av to Mount Nevo 1, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Yericho. The LORD showed him all the land of Gil`ad, to Dan,


and all the `Aravah beyond the Yarden eastward, even to the sea of the `Aravah, under the slopes of Pisgah.


Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with your eyes: for you shall not go over this Yarden.


Beyond the Yarden, in the land of Mo'av, began Moshe to declare this law, saying,


These are those who were numbered by Moshe and El`azar the Kohen, who numbered the children of Yisra'el in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden at Yericho.
