*It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.


He taught them many things in parables, and told them in his teaching,


*For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them.


This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living oracles to give to us,


He said therefore, *A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.


Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and traveled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living.


He said, *To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables; that 'seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.'


But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, 'Son, go work today in my vineyard.'


Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Isn't he a speaker of parables?


Yet I had planted you a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then are you turned into the degenerate branches of a foreign vine to me?


It will happen in that day that every place where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silver shekels, shall be for briers and thorns.


They said to him, *Where do you want us to prepare?*


He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, *Behold, a farmer went out to sow.


*Hear another parable. There was a man who was a master of a household, who planted a vineyard, set a hedge about it, dug a winepress in it, built a tower, leased it out to farmers, and went into another country.


When the season for the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the farmers, to receive his fruit.


He summoned them, and said to them in parables, *How can Hasatan cast out Hasatan?


They answered Yeshua, *We don't know.* Yeshua said to them, *Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.*
