He killed Ya`akov, the brother of Yochanan, with the sword.


When they had come in, they went up into the upper room, where they were staying; that is Kefa, Yochanan, Ya`akov, Andrew, Philip, T'oma, Bar-Talmai, Mattityahu, Ya`akov Ben-Chalfai, Shim`on the Zealot, and Yehudah the son of Ya`akov.


He took with him Kefa, Ya`akov, and Yochanan, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.


Ya`akov and Yochanan, the sons of Zavdai, came near to him, saying, *Rabbi, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.*


After six days Yeshua took with him Kefa, Ya`akov, and Yochanan, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.


He allowed no one to follow him, except Kefa, Ya`akov, and Yochanan the brother of Ya`akov.


Ya`akov Ben-Zavdai; Yochanan, the brother of Ya`akov, and he surnamed them Benei-Regesh, which means, Sons of Thunder;


Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, Ya`akov Ben-Zavdai, and Yochanan his brother, in the boat with Zavdai their father, mending their nets. He called them.


Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.


Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zavdai, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.


Shim`on Kefa, T'oma called Didymus, Natan'el of Kanah in the Galil, and the sons of Zavdai, and two others of his talmidim were together.
