But the Perushim, when they saw it, said to him, *Behold, your talmidim do what is not lawful to do on the Shabbat.*


For this cause the Judeans persecuted Yeshua, and sought to kill him, because he did these things on the Shabbat.


The Perushim said to him, *Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the day of Shabbat?*


They said to him, *Why do Yochanan's talmidim often fast and pray, likewise also the talmidim of the Perushim, but yours eat and drink?*


If you turn away your foot from the Shabbat, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Shabbat a delight, [and] the holy of the LORD honorable; and shall honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking [your own] words:


'Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be a holy day for you, a Shabbat of solemn rest to the LORD: whoever does any work in it shall be put to death.


Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Shabbat of solemn rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the day of Shabbat shall surely be put to death.


*If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep, and it dies or is injured, or driven away, no man seeing it;


*Why do your talmidim disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don't wash their hands when they eat bread.*
