Behold, I am with you, and will keep you, wherever you go, and will bring you again into this land. For I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken of to you.*

Avraham traveled from there toward the land of the South, and lived between Kadesh and Shur. He lived as a foreigner in Gerar.


I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Kena`an, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.*


In that day the LORD made a covenant with Avram, saying, *To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Perat:


Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it to you.*


for all the land which you see, I will give to you, and to your offspring forever.


The LORD appeared to Avram and said, *I will give this land to your seed.* He built an altar there to the LORD, who appeared to him.


By faith, he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents, with Yitzchak and Ya`akov, the heirs with him of the same promise.


The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of shalom will be with you.


Don't be afraid; for I am with you. I will bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west.


When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.


I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.


But the LORD was with Yosef, and showed kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.


The LORD was with Yosef, and he was a prosperous man. He was in the house of his master the Egyptian.


He had possessions of flocks, possessions of herds, and a great household. The Pelishtim envied him.


Yitzchak sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year one hundred times what he planted. The LORD blessed him.


In this way God, being determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath;


You will give truth to Ya`akov, and mercy to Avraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.


*Hear my prayer, LORD, and give ear to my cry. Don't be silent at my tears. For I am a stranger with you, a foreigner, as all my fathers were.


It happened after the death of Avraham that God blessed Yitzchak, his son. Yitzchak lived by Be'er-Lachai-Ro'i.


The LORD appeared to him the same night, and said, *I am the God of Avraham your father. Don't be afraid, for I am with you, and will bless you, and multiply your seed for my servant Avraham's sake.*


Behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, *I am the LORD, the God of Avraham your father, and the God of Yitzchak. The land whereon you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed.


The LORD said to Ya`akov, *Return to the land of your fathers, and to your relatives, and I will be with you.*


The land which I gave to Avraham and Yitzchak, I will give it to you, and to your seed after you will I give the land.*


Yisra'el said to Yosef, *Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you, and bring you again to the land of your fathers.


Yosef said to his brothers, *I am dying, but God will surely visit you, and bring you up out of this land to the land which he swore to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov.*


I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Kena`an, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.


I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am the LORD.'*


Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov, to give to them and to their seed after them.


The LORD said to him, This is the land which I swore to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov, saying, I will give it to your seed: I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.


[the covenant] which he made with Avraham, his oath to Yitzchak.


God said, *No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Yitzchak. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.


God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Avraham, with Yitzchak, and with Ya`akov.


He said, *Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.*


and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.


God is not a man, that he should lie, nor the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?


He has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
