Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,


This is the history of the generations of Noach. Noach was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noach walked with God.


They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the mitzvot and ordinances of the Lord.


I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.


Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.


and said, *Remember now, the LORD, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.* Chizkiyahu wept bitterly.


There was a man in the land of `Utz, whose name was Iyov. That man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God, and turned away from evil.


Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round, and Sarah will have a son.*

Now the LORD said to Avram, *Get out of your country, and from your relatives, and from your father's house, to the land that I will show you.

But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.


*Can you fathom the mystery of God? Or can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

For the LORD your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn't regard persons, nor takes reward.


The LORD said to Moshe, Has the LORD's hand grown short? now shall you see whether my word shall happen to you or not.


and I appeared to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov, as El Shaddai; but by my name the LORD I was not known to them.


The LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day.

Avram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Yishma'el to Avram.


Chanokh walked with God after he became the father of Metushelach three hundred years, and became the father of sons and daughters.


He said to me, 'The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you, and prosper your way. You shall take a wife for my son of my relatives, and of my father's house.


The LORD appeared to him, and said, *Don't go down into Egypt. Live in the land I will tell you about.


May El Shaddai give you mercy before the man, that he may release to you your other brother and Binyamin. If I am bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.*


He said, *I am God, the God of your father. Don't be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation.


to love the LORD your God, to obey his voice, and to cleave to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days; that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov, to give them.


The friendship of the LORD is with those who fear him. He will show them his covenant.


Ya`akov said to Yosef, *El Shaddai appeared to me at Luz in the land of Kena`an, and blessed me,


he says, who hears the words of God, knows the knowledge of the Elyon, and who sees the vision of the Almighty, Falling down, and having his eyes open:


He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.
