Romans 13:9 - English Majority Text Version

9 For, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not kill," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, in this word it is summed up, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'


You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not commit murder,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not bear false witness,' 'Do not defraud,' 'Honor your father and your mother.' "


And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."


So he answered and said, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.' "


You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not murder,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not bear false witness,' 'Honor your father and your mother.' "


For you, brothers were called to freedom; only do not use freedom for an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
