Yet now, brothers, I know that according to ignorance you did this, as indeed also your rulers.


Now I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that often I planned to come to you (and I was hindered until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among the other Gentiles.


God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying,


For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.


I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.


For I am hard pressed by the two, having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, which is far better.


But to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.


For I want you to know how great a struggle I have concerning you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,


that he no longer should live the remaining time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
