And spitting on Him, they took the reed and were striking Him on His head.

being defamed, we encourage; we have become as the sweepings of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.


looking unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
