23 Therefore on the next day, when Agrippa and Bernice had come with all pomp, and had entered into the auditorium together with the commanders and the prominent men of the city, and when Festus had commanded, Paul was brought.

And when an opportune day arrived, when Herod for his birthday festivities was putting on a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee,


And on an appointed day Herod, clothing himself with royal apparel, and sitting on the judgment seat, was delivering an address to them.


And after some days King Agrippa and Bernice arrived in Caesarea and greeted Festus.


When he had said these things, the king stood up, as well as the governor and Bernice and those sitting together with them;


But the Lord said to him, "Go your way, for he is a chosen vessel to Me to bear My name before Gentiles and kings, and the sons of Israel.


and those using this world as not using it up. For the form of this world is passing away.


For the sun arose with burning heat and withered the grass, and its flower fell off, and its beautiful appearance perished. So the rich man also shall fade away in his pursuits.


For "All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man is as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away,


Because everything that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not from the Father but is from the world.
