But I say to you that whoever gets angry with his brother without cause will be liable to the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Empty-head!' will be liable to the council. But whoever says, ' fool!' will be liable to the fiery hell.


But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?


And looking around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.


Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke within himself, saying, "This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what sort of woman this is who touches Him, for she is a sinner."


Let no one seek his own concerns, but let each one seek another's concern.


just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.


For first of all, when you come together in church, I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it.


lest there be divisions in the body, but the parts care the same for one another.


But if any man thinks he is behaving improperly toward his virgin, if she is past her prime, and thus it must be, let him do what he desires. He does not sin; let them marry.


that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not reckoning their transgressions to them, and committing to us the word of this reconciliation.


For you, brothers were called to freedom; only do not use freedom for an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.


For all seek their own interests, not the things of Christ Jesus.


Finally, brothers, as many things as are true, as many as are honorable, as many as are just, as many as are pure, as many as are lovely--if there is any virtue and if there is any praise--meditate on these things.


For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you;


Because of this, I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.


At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be reckoned to them.


So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;
