God, accept us again.\par Accept us. Save us!\par


God All-Powerful, accept us again.\par Accept us. Save us.\par


So I will look to the Lord \{for help\}!\par I will wait for God to save me.\par My God will hear me.\par


Bring us back to you, Lord.\par We will gladly come back to you.\par Make our lives like they were before.\par


Elijah will help the parents become close to their children. And he will help the children become close to their parents. This must happen, or I (God) will come and completely destroy your country!”


Lord God All-Powerful, come back to us.\par Accept us. Save us.\par


Lord, you are my Light and my Savior.\par I should not be afraid of anyone!\par The Lord is the place of safety for my life.\par So I will not be afraid of any person.\par


My God, I trust you,\par and I will not be disappointed.\par My enemies will not laugh at me.\par


Lord, stop being angry at Jerusalem. Jerusalem is on your holy mountain. You do the right things, so stop being angry at Jerusalem. People all around us insult us and make fun of your people. This happens because we and our ancestors {\cf2\super [102]} sinned against you.


I have heard Ephraim {\cf2\super [254]} crying.\par I heard Ephraim say these things:\par ‘Lord, you really punished me!\par And I learned my lesson.\par I was like a calf that was never trained.\par Please stop punishing me,\par and I will come back to you.\par You truly are the Lord my God.\par


You Samaritans {\cf2\super [65]} worship something that you don’t understand. We Jews understand what we worship. Salvation comes from the Jews.


But after a short time my anger will stop. I will be satisfied that Assyria has punished you enough.”


But God was merciful.\par He forgave them for their sins.\par And he did not destroy them.\par Many times God controlled his anger.\par He didn‘t let himself become too angry.\par


After they burned Achan, they put many rocks over his body. Those rocks are still there today. {So God brought trouble to Achan.} That is why that place is called the Valley of Achor. [38] After this the Lord was not angry with the people.


At that time, you will say:\par “I praise you Lord!\par You have been angry at me.\par But don’t be angry with me now!\par Show your love to me.”\par


I will not let my terrible anger win.\par I will not destroy Ephraim again.\par I am God, and not man.\par I am the Holy One, I am with you.\par I will not show my anger.\par
