For a short time you made him lower\par than the angels.\par You gave him glory and honor\par to be his crown.\par


For a short time Jesus was made lower than the angels, but now we see him wearing a crown of glory and honor because he suffered and died. Because of God’s grace (kindness) Jesus died for every person.


Clearly, it is not angels that Jesus helps. Jesus helps the people who are from Abraham. {\cf2\super [13]}


God made Christ more important than all rulers, authorities, powers, and kings. Christ is more important than anything that has power in this world or in the next world.


God saves our life from the grave.\par And he gives us love and compassion.\par


Then the Lord God took dust from the ground and made a man. [9] The Lord breathed the breath of life into the man’s nose, and the man became a living thing.


Angels, praise the Lord!\par You angels are the powerful soldiers\par who obey God’s commands.\par You listen to God and obey his commands.\par


God, {\cf2\super [273]} your throne continues forever!\par Goodness is your royal scepter. {\cf2\super [274]} \par


Absalom sent {messengers} to Joab. {These messengers asked Joab to} send Absalom to the king. But Joab would not come to Absalom. Absalom sent {a message} a second time. But Joab still refused to come.


God, why is man so important to you?\par Why should you honor him?\par Why do you even notice him?\par


Lord, why are people important to you?\par Why do you even notice us?\par
