Sing to God!\par He rides his chariot through\par the ancient skies.\par Listen to his powerful voice!\par


The Lord himself will come down from heaven. There will be a loud command. That command will be given with the voice of the archangel {\cf2\super [15]} and with the trumpet call of God. And the people who have died and were in Christ will rise first.


It will only take the time of a second. We will be changed as quickly as an eye blinks. This will happen when the last trumpet blows. The trumpet will blow and those \{believers\} who have died will be raised to live forever. And we \{also\} will all be changed.


Praise God with trumpets and horns!\par Praise him with harps and lyres {\cf2\super [652]} !\par


Finally, our Master got up\par like a man waking from his sleep,\par like a soldier after drinking\par too much wine.\par


David and all the Israelites were excited—they shouted and blew the trumpet as they brought the Lord’s Holy Box [46] into the city.


The priests will make one loud noise from the trumpets. When you hear that noise, tell all the people to begin shouting. When you do this, the walls of the city will fall down and your people will be able to go straight into the city.”


God saw no wrong in Jacob’s people. God saw no sin in the people of Israel. The Lord is their God, and he is with them. The Great King is with them!


The seventh angel blew his trumpet. Then there were loud voices in heaven. The voices said:


Without any doubt, the secret of our life of worship is great:


Harps, praise the Lord.\par Music from the harps, praise him.\par


Blow the ram’s horn\par at the time of the new moon, {\cf2\super [464]} \par Blow the ram’s horn\par at the time of the full moon. {\cf2\super [465]} \par when our holiday begins.\par


Heman and Jeduthun were with them. They had the job of blowing the trumpets and playing cymbals. {\cf2\super [191]} They also had the job of playing other musical instruments when songs were sung to God. Jeduthun’s sons guarded the gates.\par


So all the people of Israel brought up the Box of the Agreement. {\cf2\super [176]} They shouted, they blew rams’ horns and trumpets, and they played cymbals, {\cf2\super [177]} lyres, {\cf2\super [178]} and harps. {\cf2\super [179]}


The priests Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer had the job of blowing trumpets \{as they walked\} in front of the Box of the Agreement. Obed Edom and Jehiah were the other guards for the Box of the Agreement.


On that day, I promised to take you out of Egypt and lead you to the land I was giving to you. That was a good land filled with many good things. {\cf2\super [141]} It was the most beautiful of all countries!


The Lord made a promise. He used his name, Pride of Jacob, and made this promise:


“Look, I will punish your descendants. During the holidays, you priests offer sacrifices to me. You take the dung and inside parts from the dead animals, and throw those parts away. But I will smear that dung on your faces, and you will be thrown away with it!
