Yes, even when I was afraid and said,\par “All men are liars!”\par


Then the Lord my Master said to me, “Son of man, {\cf2\super [291]} these bones are like the whole family of Israel. The people of Israel say, ‘Our bones have dried up, {\cf2\super [292]} our hope is gone. We have been completely destroyed!’


Lord, you were angry at me,\par and the punishment is killing me.\par


The Lord heard my prayer.\par And the Lord accepted and answered my prayer.\par


So Job, God won’t listen to you\par when you say that you don’t see him.\par You say you are waiting for your chance\par to meet with God and prove\par that you are innocent.\par


While Christ lived on earth he prayed to God and asked God for help. God is the One who could save him from death, and Jesus prayed to God with loud cries and tears. And God answered Jesus’ prayers because Jesus was humble and did everything God wanted.


Then I thought,\par ‘Now I must go where you cannot see me.’\par But I continued looking to your holy temple {\cf2\super [9]} for help.\par


But now Zion {\cf2\super [415]} says,\par “The Lord left me.\par My Master forgot me.”\par


I became very scared. I said, “Oh, no! I will be destroyed. I am not pure (good) enough to speak to God. And I live among people that are not pure enough to speak to God. {\cf2\super [66]} Yet I have seen the King, the Lord All-Powerful.”


But David thought to himself, “Saul will catch me some day. The best thing I can do is to escape to the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will give up looking for me in Israel. That way I will escape from Saul.”


Saul was on one side of the mountain. David and his men were on the other side of the same mountain. David was hurrying to get away from Saul. Saul and his soldiers were going around the mountain to capture David and his men.


Lord, I prayed to you.\par So I will not be disappointed.\par Bad people will be disappointed.\par They will go to the grave in silence.\par


David answered Abigail, “Praise the Lord, the God of Israel. Praise God for sending you to meet me.


God, you help people who trust you—\par those people stand by your right side.\par So listen to this prayer\par from one of your followers.\par


Praise God!\par God did not turn away from me—\par he listened to my prayer.\par God showed his love to me!\par


Yes, if a person continues asking, that person will receive. If a person continues looking, that person will find. And if a person continues knocking, the door will open for that person.
