You will lose your shirt if you make yourself responsible for another man’s debts.


Someone might give you his coat as a promise that he will pay you the money he owes you. But you must give that coat back to him before the sun goes down.


If you promise to pay another person’s debt, then you will be sorry. You will be safe if you refuse to make those deals.


Wise people see trouble coming and get out of its way. But a fool goes straight to the trouble and suffers because of it.
