Numbers 14:38 - Easy To Read Version

38 But Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh were among the men that were sent out to explore the land. And the Lord saved those two men. They did not get the sickness that caused the other ten men to die.

Why? Because the Lord told those people of Israel that they would all die in the desert. The only two men who were left alive were Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

Those men were responsible for spreading the trouble among the Israelite people. So the Lord caused a sickness to kill all of those men.


Moses told all these things to the Israelite people. The people were very, very sad.
