Nehemiah 3:13 - Easy To Read Version

13 The Valley Gate was fixed by a man named Hanun and the people that live in the town of Zanoah. Those people built the Valley Gate. They put the doors on their hinges. Then they put the locks and bolts on the doors. They also fixed 500 yards {\cf2\super [9]} of the wall. They worked on the wall all the way to the Gate of Ash Piles.

While it was dark I went out through the Valley Gate. I rode toward the Dragon Well and the Gate of the Ash Piles. I was inspecting the walls of Jerusalem that had been broken down. And the gates in the wall that had been burned with fire.


Zanoah, En Gannim, Tappuah, Enam,


and in Zanoah and Adullam and the small towns around them, in Lachish and the fields around it, and in Azekah and the small towns around it. So the people of Judah were living all the way from Beersheba to the Valley of Hinnom.


Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, at the Valley Gate, and at the place where the wall turned. Uzziah made those towers strong.


So I went up the valley in the dark, inspecting the wall. Finally, I turned back and went back in through the Valley Gate.
