Then a man sick with leprosy {\cf2\super [87]} came to Jesus. The man bowed down before Jesus and said, “Lord, you have the power to heal me if you want.”


The synagogue {\cf2\super [236]} leader was angry because Jesus healed on the Sabbath day. {\cf2\super [237]} The leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come to be healed on one of those days. Don’t come for healing on the Sabbath day.”


Mary went to the place where Jesus was. When she saw Jesus, she bowed at his feet. Mary said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”


Jesus said, “Go away. The girl is not dead. She is only asleep.” But the people laughed at Jesus.


Naaman became angry and left. He said, “I thought Elisha would at least come out and stand in front of me and call on the name of the Lord his God. I thought he would wave his hand over my body and heal the leprosy [45] !


The law of Moses and the writings of the prophets {\cf2\super [257]} were read. Then the leaders of the synagogue sent a message to Paul and Barnabas: “Brothers, if you have something to say that will help the people here, please speak!”


Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection. {\cf2\super [176]} I am life. The person that believes in me will have life \{again\} after he dies.


A \{Jewish\} leader asked Jesus, “Good teacher, what must I do to get the life that continues forever?”


In Capernaum there was an army officer. {\cf2\super [124]} The officer had a servant that was very sick; he was near death. The officer loved the servant very much.


On the mountain the followers saw Jesus. They worshiped him. But some of the followers did not believe that it was really Jesus.


Jesus and the followers went back to the people. A man came to Jesus and bowed before him.


Then the woman came to Jesus again. She bowed before Jesus and said, “Lord, help me!”


Then those followers in the boat worshiped Jesus and said, “Truly you are the Son of God.”


Then Zebedee’s wife came to Jesus. Her sons were with her. The mother bowed before Jesus and asked him to do something for her.


The followers went to Jesus and woke him. They said, “Lord, save us! We will drown!”


Also, people never pour new wine into old wine bags. {\cf2\super [112]} Why? Because the old bags will break. The wine will spill, and the wine bags will be ruined. But people always pour new wine into new wine bags. Then the wine and the wine bags will continue to be good.”


So Jesus stood up and went with the leader. Jesus’ followers went too.


Publius’ father was very sick. He had a fever and dysentery. {\cf2\super [520]} But Paul went to him and prayed for him. Paul put his hands on the man and healed him.
