Jesus stood very close to her and commanded the sickness to leave her. The sickness left her. Then she got up and began serving them.


God made the fire and hail,\par the snow and smoke,\par and all the stormy winds.\par

The officer answered, “Lord, I am not good enough for you to come into my house. All you need to do is command that my servant be healed, and he will be healed.

The people were amazed. They asked each other, “What is happening here? This man is teaching something new. And he teaches with authority (power)! He even gives commands to evil spirits, and the spirits obey him.”


Jesus called the twelve apostles {\cf2\super [157]} together. He gave the apostles power to heal sicknesses and power to force demons {\cf2\super [158]} out of people.
