The Son of Man {\cf2\super [299]} came to find lost people and save them.”


“If a man has 100 sheep, but one of the sheep becomes lost, then the man will leave the other 99 sheep on the hill. He will go to look for the lost sheep. Right?


Jesus heard the Pharisees {\cf2\super [105]} say this. So Jesus said to the Pharisees, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor. It is the sick people that need a doctor.


But go to the people of Israel (the Jews). They are like sheep that are lost.


Jesus said, “God sent me only to the lost people {\cf2\super [213]} of Israel (the Jews).”


Then Jesus and his followers went to another town.


My son was dead, but now he is alive again! He was lost, but now he is found!’ So they began to have a party.


We must be happy and have a party; because your brother was dead, but now he is alive. He was lost, but now he is found.’”


God sent his Son into the world. God did not send his Son to judge the world guilty. God sent his Son so that the world could be saved through his Son.


A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came to give life—life that is full and good.


“I did not come into the world to judge people. I came to save the people in the world. So I am not the one that judges the people who hear my teaching but don’t obey.


What I say is true, and you should fully accept it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the worst of those sinners.
