Jesus told the followers, “Don’t tell any person who I am.”


Jesus warned them not to tell anyone.


The first thing Andrew did was to go find his brother, Simon. Andrew said to Simon, “We have found the Messiah.” (“Messiah” means “Christ. {\cf2\super [28]} ”)


Jesus and the followers were walking down the mountain. Jesus commanded the followers, “Don’t tell any person about the things you saw on the mountain. Wait until the Son of Man {\cf2\super [237]} has been raised from death. Then you can tell people about what you saw.”


When the voice finished, only Jesus was there. Peter, James, and John said nothing. At that time they told no person about what they had seen.


Then Jesus said to him, “Don’t tell any person about what happened. But go and show yourself to the priest. {\cf2\super [89]} And offer the gift that Moses commanded \{for people that are made well\}. This will show people that you are healed.”

So who is the liar? It is the person that says Jesus is not the Christ. {\cf2\super [7]} A person that says Jesus is not the Christ is the enemy of Christ. That person does not believe in the Father (God) or in his Son (Christ).


“So, all the Jewish people should know this truly: God has made Jesus to be Lord and Christ. {\cf2\super [40]} He is the man you nailed to the cross!”


But these things are written so that you can believe that Jesus is the Christ, {\cf2\super [268]} the Son of God. Then, by believing, you can have life through his name.


Philip found Nathanael and told him, “Remember what Moses wrote in the law. Moses wrote about a man that was coming. The prophets {\cf2\super [30]} wrote about him too. We have found him. His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph. He is from Nazareth.”


Jesus and the followers were walking back down the mountain. Jesus commanded the followers, “Don’t tell any person about the things you saw on the mountain. Wait until after the Son of Man {\cf2\super [106]} rises from death. Then you can tell people what you saw.”


Jacob was the father of Joseph.\par Joseph was the husband of Mary,\par and Mary was the mother of Jesus.\par Jesus is called the Christ. {\cf2\super [6]} \par


Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, {\cf2\super [229]} the Son of the living God.”


Today your Savior was born in David’s town. He is Christ, {\cf2\super [29]} the Lord.


Martha answered, “Yes, Lord. I believe that you are the Christ, {\cf2\super [177]} the Son of God. You are the One that was coming to the world.”
