1 Jesus and his followers were coming closer to Jerusalem. They came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [138]} There Jesus sent two of his followers to do something.

Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [127]}


Then the apostles {\cf2\super [7]} went back to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. (This mountain is about one-half mile from Jerusalem.)


Jesus sent two of his followers into the city. Jesus said to them, “Go into the city. You will see a man carrying a jar of water. The man will come to you. Follow that man.


Jesus called the twelve followers together. Jesus sent them out in groups of two. Jesus gave them power over evil spirits.


All the followers sang a song. Then they went out to the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [404]}


Later, Jesus was sitting at a place on the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [364]} The followers came to be alone with Jesus. They said, “Tell us when these things will happen. And what will happen to show us that it is time for you to come again and time for the world {\cf2\super [365]} to end?”


Then Jesus left that place and went out of the city to Bethany. Jesus stayed there that night.


At that time, he will stand on the Mount of Olives, the hill east of Jerusalem. The Mount of Olives will split. Part of the mountain will move to the north, and part to the south. A deep valley will open up, from the east to the west.


Later, Jesus was sitting at a place on the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [181]} He was alone with Peter, James, John, and Andrew. They could all see the temple. Those followers asked Jesus,


David went up the Mount of Olives. He was crying. He covered his head and he went without shoes on his feet. All of the people with David also covered their heads. They went with David, crying.


Jesus said to the followers, “Go to the town you can see there. When you enter it, you will find a young donkey tied there. No person has ever ridden this donkey. Untie the donkey and bring it here to me.
