Many sick people were lying on the porches \{beside the pool\}. Some of the people were blind, some were crippled, and some were paralyzed. {\cf2\super [75]}


Jesus went to Capernaum, a city in Galilee. On the Sabbath day {\cf2\super [79]} Jesus taught the people.


Jesus traveled to Nazareth, the town where he grew up. On the Sabbath day {\cf2\super [69]} he went to the synagogue {\cf2\super [70]} like he always did. Jesus stood up to read.


Jesus went everywhere in the country of Galilee. Jesus taught in the synagogues {\cf2\super [54]} and told the Good News about the kingdom of heaven. And Jesus healed all the people’s diseases and sicknesses.


Some of the Pharisees {\cf2\super [154]} said, “This man (Jesus) does not obey the law about the Sabbath day. {\cf2\super [155]} So he is not from God.”


Jesus said to the Pharisees {\cf2\super [255]} and teachers of the law, “Is it right or wrong to heal on the Sabbath day?”


Jesus taught in one of the synagogues {\cf2\super [234]} on the Sabbath day. {\cf2\super [235]}


One time on a Sabbath day, {\cf2\super [105]} Jesus was walking through some grain fields. His followers picked the grain, rubbed it in their hands, and ate it.


King Jeroboam heard the message from the man of God [162] about the altar in Bethel. He took his hand off of the altar and pointed at the man. He said, “Arrest that man!” But when the king said this, his arm became paralyzed. He could not move it.


Oh my worthless shepherd.\par You abandoned my sheep.\par Punish him!\par Hit his right arm and right eye\par with a sword.\par His right arm will be useless.\par His right eye will be blind.\par


Then Jesus said to the Pharisees, {\cf2\super [108]} “The Son of Man {\cf2\super [109]} is Lord (Master) over the Sabbath day.”
