“Later, that same servant found another servant that owed him a few dollars’ worth of silver. The servant grabbed the other servant around the neck and said, ‘Pay me the money you owe me!’


All of God’s people say hello to you. And those believers from Caesar’s {\cf2\super [25]} palace say hello, too.


And Agrippa said to Festus, “We could let this man go free, but he has asked to see Caesar. {\cf2\super [505]} ”


One of these prophets was named Agabus. In Antioch, Agabus stood up and spoke. With the help of the Holy Spirit {\cf2\super [230]} he said, “A very bad time is coming to the whole world. There will be no food for people to eat.” (This time without food happened when Claudius was emperor. {\cf2\super [231]})


They began to accuse Jesus. They told Pilate, “We caught this man trying to change the thinking of our people. He says we should not pay taxes to Caesar. {\cf2\super [369]} He calls himself the Christ, {\cf2\super [370]} a king.”


Tell us, is it right that we should pay taxes to Caesar {\cf2\super [315]} ? Yes or No?”


It was the 15th year of the rule of Tiberius Caesar. {\cf2\super [43]} These men were under Caesar:


At that time, Augustus Caesar {\cf2\super [26]} sent out an order to all people in the countries that were under Roman rule. The order said that all people must write their name in a book (register).


The man agreed to pay the workers one silver coin {\cf2\super [272]} for working that day. Then the man sent the people into the field to work.


Then Jesus asked, “Whose picture is on the coin? And whose name is written on the coin?”


But Jesus knew that these men were trying to trick him. Jesus said to them,


Jesus said to them, “Then give to Caesar {\cf2\super [316]} the things that are Caesar’s. And give to God the things that are God’s.”


They gave Jesus a coin and Jesus asked, “Whose picture is on the coin? And whose name is written on it?” They answered, “It is Caesar’s {\cf2\super [158]} picture and Caesar’s name.”
