Jesus tasted the vinegar. Then he said, “It is finished.” Jesus bowed his head and died.


Jesus said, “My food is to do what the One (God) who sent me wants me to do. My food is to finish the work that he gave me to do.


My God, I want to do what you want.\par I know your teachings.\par


So Jesus’ brothers left to go to the festival. After they left, Jesus went too. But Jesus did not let people see him.


But now I must obey the Holy Spirit {\cf2\super [404]} and go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what will happen to me there.


Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword back in its place! I must accept the cup {\cf2\super [228]} \{of suffering\} the Father has given me.”


People told the sins they had done, and John baptized {\cf2\super [36]} them in the Jordan River.


Jesus continued speaking: “I came to bring fire to the world. I wish it were already burning!
