Sometimes a bird will hatch an egg\par that it did not lay.\par A person that cheats to get money\par is like that bird.\par When that man’s life is half finished,\par he will lose the money.\par At the end of his life, it will be clear\par that he was a foolish person.”\par


If a person does not care about God,\par then there is no hope for that person\par when he dies.\par That person has no hope\par when God takes his life away.\par


When we came into the world, we brought nothing. And when we die, we can take nothing out.


Our life is like an image \{in a mirror\}. {\cf2\super [239]} \par We rush through life collecting things,\par but we don’t know who will get them\par \{after we die\}.\par


You don’t know what will happen tomorrow! Your life is like a fog. You can see it for a short time, but then it goes away.


People will say, “We have peace and we are safe.” At that time destruction will come to them quickly. Destruction will come like the pains of a woman who is having a baby. And those people will not escape.


You are foolish! The same One (God) that made what is outside also made what is inside.


Trouble can come suddenly,\par and then those proud people are ruined.\par Terrible things can happen to them,\par and then they are finished.\par


You will be completely destroyed\par like thorn bushes burning under a pot.\par You will be destroyed quickly\par like dry weeds that burn fast.\par


If you get rich by cheating poor people and charging them high interest rates, then you will lose your wealth. It will go to another person who is kind to them.


On the day God judges people, money is worth nothing. But goodness will save people from death.


They did not control their appetites,\par so they ate the quail before draining\par the blood from the birds.\par


Haman started bragging about how rich he was. He was bragging to his friends about his many sons, and about all the ways the king had honored him. And he was bragging about how the king had promoted him higher than all the other leaders.


Look, wise people die\par the same as fools and stupid people. {\cf2\super [293]} \par They die and leave their wealth\par to other people.\par


If a person gets money by doing bad things, then that money is worthless. But doing good can save you from death.


Some people act like they are rich, but they have nothing. Other people act like they are poor, but they are really rich.


Never brag about what will happen in the future. You don’t know what will happen tomorrow.


They come and say,\par “I will drink some wine.\par I will drink some beer.\par I will do the same thing tomorrow.\par Only, I will drink even more.”\par


You are happy in Lo-Debar; {\cf2\super [83]} \par You say,\par “We have taken Karnaim {\cf2\super [84]} \par by our own strength.”\par


Give this command to the people who are rich with the things this world has. Tell them not to be proud. Tell those rich people to hope in God, not their money. Money cannot be trusted. But God takes care of us richly. He gives us everything to enjoy.
