But if this person can’t find enough money to get the land back for himself, then what he has sold will stay in the hands of the person who bought it until the year of Jubilee. [427] Then during that special celebration, the land will go back {to the first owner’s family}. So the property will again belong to the right family.


If the person does not buy back the field, {then the field will always belong to the priests}. If the land is sold to someone else, then that first person can’t buy back the land.


In the year of Jubilee, each person will go back to his own property.


then the priest must count the years to the year of Jubilee [464] and decide the price for the land. Then that land will belong to the Lord.


“You must use the official measure [465] in paying those prices. The shekel by that measure weighs 20 gerahs. [466]
