Leviticus 19:23 - Easy To Read Version

23 “In the future, you will enter your country. At that time, you will plant many kinds of trees for food. After planting a tree, you must wait three years before you can use any of the fruit from that tree. You must not use that fruit.

“I am giving the land of Canaan to your people. Your people will enter that land. At that time, I might cause mildew [214] to grow in some person’s house.

But Moses answered, “The people of Israel refuse to listen to me! So surely Pharaoh will also refuse to listen. I am a very bad speaker! [50] ”


The priest will do the things that will make the man pure. [340] The priest will offer the ram as a guilt offering before the Lord. It will be for the sins the man did. Then the man will be forgiven for the sins he did.


In the fourth year, the fruit from that tree will be the Lord’s. It will be a holy offering of praise to the Lord.


You must not eat any of the new grain, or fruit, or bread made from the new grain, until you bring that offering to your God. This law will always continue through your generations wherever you live.
