The people answered, “A demon {\cf2\super [105]} is making you crazy! We are not trying to kill you.”


The Jews said to Jesus, “Now we know that you have a demon {\cf2\super [143]} in you! Even Abraham {\cf2\super [144]} and the prophets {\cf2\super [145]} died. But you say, ‘The person that obeys my teaching will never die.’


Many of these Jews said, “A demon {\cf2\super [163]} has come into him and made him crazy. Why listen to him?”


The Samaritan {\cf2\super [60]} woman answered, “I am surprised that you ask me for a drink! You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman!” (Jews are not friends with Samaritans. {\cf2\super [61]})


You are hypocrites {\cf2\super [205]} ! Isaiah was right when he spoke about you. Isaiah said:


The Pharisees {\cf2\super [169]} heard the people saying this. The Pharisees said, “This man uses the power of Beelzebul (the devil) to force demons {\cf2\super [170]} out of people. Beelzebul is the ruler of demons.”


A student should be satisfied to become like his teacher. A servant should be satisfied to become like his master. If the head of the family is called Beelzebul (the devil), then the other members of the family will be called worse names!


Jesus gave these twelve apostles {\cf2\super [122]} some orders. Then he sent them \{to tell people about the kingdom\}. Jesus said, “Don’t go to the non-Jewish people. And don’t go into any town where the Samaritans {\cf2\super [123]} live.


You believe there is one God. Good! But the demons {\cf2\super [9]} believe, too! And they shake with fear.


Even Christ did not live trying to please himself. It was like the Scriptures {\cf2\super [144]} said \{about him\}: “Those people that insulted you have also insulted me.” {\cf2\super [145]}


You call me ‘Teacher.’ And you call me ‘Lord.’ And this is right, because that is what I am.


People made fun of him, and his friends left him. He was a man that had much pain. He knew sickness very well. People did not even give him the honor of looking at him. We did not even notice him.


The Lord, the Holy One of Israel,\par the Protector of Israel says,\par “My Servant is humble.\par He serves rulers.\par But people hate him.\par But, kings will see him,\par and stand \{to honor him\}.\par Great leaders will bow down to him.”\par


So we should go to Jesus outside the camp. We should accept the same shame that Jesus had.


So I tell you, people can be forgiven of every sin they do. And people can be forgiven for every bad thing they say. But if a person speaks against (refuses to accept) the Holy Spirit, {\cf2\super [174]} then that person will not be forgiven.


\{Why do I say people are like that?\} Because John came, and he did not eat \{like other people\} or drink wine. And people say, ‘He has a demon {\cf2\super [141]} inside him.’


The Jewish leaders in Jerusalem sent some priests and Levites {\cf2\super [8]} to John. {\cf2\super [9]} The Jews sent them to ask, “Who are you?”


So the Jewish leaders asked themselves, “Will Jesus kill himself? Is that why he said, ‘You cannot come where I am going’?”
